Artsmark Gold Award
The Artsmark Award is the only creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. It supports schools to develop and celebrate arts and cultural education, putting creativity and wellbeing at the heart of the curriculum. Artsmark ensures every young person can be creative and access a diverse, high-quality cultural education
We were assessed against the ArtsMark standards and recieved the following statement -
Our Statement of Commitment and Statement of Impact were assessed and ArtsMark were pleased to share this feedback:
'You are positively increasing the emphasis on arts and culture and engaging with the Arts is beginning to have measurable effects on pupils and staff. The Arts feature in school planning and are supported by SLT, and a progression-linked curriculum for visual art. Pupils access an established and relevant range of experiences in school, digitally, and outside the classroom which leads to showcasing within school, supported by extra-curricular activity. Your work with Portsmouth in the Community for dance, and the Makaton choir, sound lovely. There has been a focus on increasing diversity within the curriculum and it's great for pupils to see themselves reflected in the artists they are studying. It's good to see that the pandemic didn't stop your arts engagement which continued online and through various adaptions. Your two-way CPD with artist Richard Oakes is really interesting – it's clearly providing mutual benefit to both the school and the artist – as is the art lead support within other schools. Your application is full of lovely pupil quotes and engagement statistics. Well done and you have avenues to explore for the next journey

Gosport in Bloom 2023
What an amazing gardening team we have! Our Gardening Gang have worked tirelessly to improve our grounds and create beautiful gardens that support the well-being of staff and children.
Well done to the team for winning so many gold and silver awards in this Year’s Gosport in Bloom competition.
A massive thank you to the adults who run Gardening Gang, after school, as an extra curricular club.
